Attached is the internal connection diagram for a two-layer, 10-pole, lap winding of a 550 kW motor (serial connection). The technician decided to redesign the winding and create 5 circuits instead of one.
However, during the motor testing, noise, vibrations, and increased current were observed both in idle mode and under load.
What could have gone wrong?
What do you think the diagram for this motor with 5 circuits should look like?
