PAM winding with multiple parallel circuits ( is it possible)?

Common connections for PAM windings, as is the case with Dahlander windings, are 1Y/2Y and 1D/2Y.

Therefore, their use in LV motors is limited to lower HP.

Have you ever wondered: can (at least some) PAM windings be made with more parallel circuits, for example: 2Y/4Y or 2D/4Y?

It can be assumed that in practice, you have not encountered such a case.

Such a design involves a lot of theoretical knowledge, but this is still a situation where it cannot be said with certainty that the design is 100% successful until it is tested on a practical model.

So, if you have a 4-pole donor motor with 36 slots of about 3-4 kW or more, and if you are interested in trying to make a 6/4 pole motor with a 2Y/4Y connection, please contact us.

Keep in mind that the design may not succeed, and you may waste material and effort in vain, but if it does, this unique diagram remains for your use. No publishing or sharing, selling is allowed.
