Don't change the # Circuits just like that

Increasing the number of parallel circuits is a common practice in many rewind shops,

but sometimes it is not a good idea.

Why?

Increasing the number of circuits can cause:

- in case of random wound winding - an excessive value of volts per coil that could lead to premature failure,

- in case of non-symmetrical winding - a high circulating current can appear,

- in case when the new number of circuits is equal to the number of poles, there is no more possibilities for skip pole or any long jumper connection that is crucial for high rated motors.
